was elected President of the Ohio Association of Child and Youth Care Professionals, Inc., a statewide association comprised of those involved in the care and treatment of children, youth and families in foster homes, therapeutic foster homes, group homes, residential centers, detention facilities and hospitals throughout Ohio. It is one of the largest member organizations of its kind in the country, and provides professional standards, certification, training and continuing education to professionals in the field throughout Ohio.
Steve has also attended Ashland Theological Seminary. He serves as Assistant Director of LHS Family and Youth Services, a social service agency headquartered in Toledo, serving children and youth through community-based and campus-based residential care and treatment, a position he has held since 1990. Prior to serving LHS Family and Youth Services, he served SMS Publications in Evanston, Illinois, as Publisher. He was Public Affairs Director at Malone College from 1984 to 1987.

This year he hosted a singles retreat that was attended by more than 140 singles, then presented the first divorce recovery workshop in a former communist country the following week. He has been invited back next year to train more leaders and pastors to minister to both the singles and the divorced people of Hungary. John Williams ’82, a member of Wycliffe Bible Translators, has worked together with the Mixtec people of Tezoatlan, Oaxaca, Mexico since 1986 to make literature in their Mixtec language and to translate the New Testament. In May of 2007, 500 copies of the newly published New Testament in Tezoatlan Mixtec arrived in Mexico.
John and his wife Judy, were interviewed on a radio program in Tucson, Arizona, on January 12, 2008. The interview focused on John's book, The Just Friends Syndrome: Memoirs of a shy guy's search for true love. Since the book talks quite a bit about John and Judy's translation work among the Mixtec people in Mexico, the interview focused on that as well. was promoted to senior director of toxicology for Charles River Laboratories in Spencerville. His duties include oversight of all preclinical research activities for this laboratory as well as management of the day-to-day operations of this facility. In addition to his degree from Malone, Rusty earned an M.S. from the Medical College of Ohio in 1992 and became a board certified toxicologist in 1994. He is also very active in managing the K-6th grade youth sports program at Perry Local Schools and coaches soccer, basketball, and baseball. His poetry has earned three awards, and has been published in four anthologies and a CD. Each year he takes his optometry students from the University of Alabama, Birmingham on an overseas mission trip during their spring break. In addition to teaching optometry at UAB, John is a staff optometrist at the VA Medical Center, provides mobile eye care to 12 area nursing homes, and owns a private practice, Vestavia Eye Care.
is a professional organizer and president of Just Organized, LLC. She was featured as the cover story for a recent PBS special "Alabama @ Work" in February of 2005. The television special highlighted Betz-Essinger working with two business clients: a professional photographer and a stockbroker. Betz-Essinger discussed the benefits of being organized at work and demonstrated the transformation of her clients from messy and disorganized to clutter free and efficient. Betz-Essinger is also a national speaker on issues of time management and organization.

In his new position, he will be responsible for managing the sales efforts of SEG's consulting services to clients in the Atlanta market. Prior to joining SEG, Gary sold professional services to a large client base in the Cleveland market.
After graduating from Malone, Gary attended the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland. He also earned his MBA from Ashland University. He's a former adjunct professor in the School of Continuing Studies at Malone and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and Financial Executives International. As co-founder of the Shari L. Terry received his Master of Divinity Degree from Ashland Theological Seminary in 1996 and served on the pastoral staff at Grace United Methodist Church for more than 5 years before moving into chaplaincy, where he worked for Hospice of Southwest Florida until January 2005. He accepted a position as a chaplain with Hospice of the Valley, in Phoenix, and has ventured into pastoral care research in addition to patient care.
Patricia obtained her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of South Florida in 2001 and became certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in 2003. She worked at Florida Cancer Specialists as an oncology nurse practitioner from 2001 until January 2005. She accepted a position with Arizona Cancer Center where she is an Oncology Nurse Practitioner in clinical research in Phase I and Phase II clinical trials. She also does speaking for Celgene, Amgen, and Genentech Pharmaceutical companies.

Last spring, Laura led the North Canton Hoover High School Boys Tennis team to win its Fifth Straight Federal League championship and a school record 20 matches. The Vikings advanced to the quarterfinals of the Ohio State Tennis Coaches Association's team tournament, where junior Scott Green finished second in the Division I singles competition.
In March 2004, Laura was named Educator of the year by the North Canton Jaycees. This award is given in recognition for unselfish, dedicated service as an educator and community member. She teaches at the North Canton Middle School and has been a 6th grade math teacher in the district for more than 15 years. |

He graduated with a master's degree in business management in 1989 while serving on active duty with the Ohio National Guard. In 1990, Michael went on to take over as the Executive Director/CEO of the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States which is headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia. The Association represents over 350,000 Enlisted National Guard embers on issues on Capitol Hill. Michael serves as the Co-Chairman of the Military Coalition, a coalition of 33 military and veterans organizations that represents 5.5 million members. He also continues to serve on the Secretary of Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee on Education, a Trustee on NGAUSIT Insurance Trust and is a board member of the National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Foundation.
