If you are a new transfer student, and wish to utilize a federal Stafford loan, you must complete an entrance interview to complete the loan process. While you may have done this at a previous school, federal regulations require you to complete the session again as a new borrower at Malone. To take advantage of the quickest, easiest method, just log on to mapping-your-future.org and complete the questions and submit to Malone. Call our office if you need assistance.
Work study is a federal, need-based fund and extremely limited. FAFSA filers who show moderate to extreme need are eligible, and students must have filed by our March 1st priority deadline to possibly receive work study. We will award work study to as many eligible students as possible until the fund is exhausted. Students desiring to work on campus may seek employment in food service, since student workers are not paid through federal funds in the cafeteria. The Career Development Center may also provide leads for job opportunities in the surrounding community.
If you plan to apply for federal aid for the 2008-2009 school year, remember that March 1, 2008 is our priority deadline. We recommend filing electronically for the quickest processing time. Returning students and their parents received details on how and where to apply through an e-mail notification in mid December. New students may obtain details through either the financial aid office, or their admissions representative. Remember, Malone's federal school code is 003072.
