The Malone College Symphonic Band is a concert band that performs highly artistic repertoire, as well as popular music and contemporary/jazz works.  This group is made up of music and non-music majors at Malone, but the common thread is that all members desire to achieve excellence in music performance.  The FUN! is in high achievement and in glorifying God through masterful musical expression.

 

Each fall semester the Symphonic Band meets towards the end of the football season in order to prepare for the annual Christmas concert.  This concert is a joint venture with the Malone College Chorale and the Women's Concert Choir. 

 

This ensemble is open to all students of the college and requires that each member take Applied Lessons, attend one sectional per week, and that they practice a set number of hours per week.  For information on the Symphonic Band, call Dr. Cynthia Bridges at 330-471-8219 or email: cbridges@malone.edu.
