Students must have an overall GPA of 2.75 to register for any education course at the 300 level or above.  Students in any of the undergraduate teacher licensure programs listed above must apply for Admission to Teacher Education.  Requirements include a minimum 2.75 for the major and cumulative GPA (includes transfer courses), passage of Praxis I (PPST), acceptance in the major, satisfactory field experiences, positive faculty and Student Development recommendations, a Career Assessment Inventory self-reflection, and a Declaration of Good Moral Character.  Admission to Teacher Education and the 2.75 GPA minimums are necessary for acceptance to student teach.  In order for Malone College to recommend students for an Ohio teaching license, students must pass the Praxis II examinations required by the Ohio Department of Education and must maintain the 2.75 GPA.
