Mission Statement
We, the Communication Arts Department, commit to
develop communicators rooted in communities, acting as agents of truth,
reflection, transformation and reconciliation in a way that celebrates
God’s grace and faithfulness.
About a Communication Arts Major
The Communication
Arts major consists of 27 hours of core classes. The
student then picks a concentration of Communication Studies, Public
Relations, Media, Journalism, or Theatre and takes 18 course hours in
those specific areas. Classes are designed to give students a
knowledge of both theory and an opportunity to practice. Students
of other majors can get a Communication Arts minor by completing
20 hours of coursework in the department.

A communication degree is very flexible and applicable to a rapidly growing field.
