Mathematics Major
and five additional mathematics courses at the 200-400 level. Supporting courses are recommended in chemistry, physics or computer science. For graduate study in mathematics, MATH 331 - Multivariable Calculus, MATH 422 - Mathematical Modeling, and MATH 435 - Real Analysis should be included in the five additional courses. Physics and/or chemistry enrichment courses are suggested. For graduate study in statistics, MATH 210 - Discrete Mathematics, MATH 304 - Probability and Statistics II, MATH 331 - Multivariable Calculus, and MATH 422 - Mathematical Modeling are recommended. The mathematics major meets the requirements for secondary teaching licensure in Integrated Mathematics when 33 hours of Professional Education requirements have been met (EDUC 112, 232, 312, 357, 362, 405, 415, 424, 482; SPED 243), and
are included in the program. If the requirements for secondary teaching licensure in integrated mathematics are met, the requirements for the major in mathematics will also be satisfied. Mathematics Minor
