What sould you focus on in your studies?
If you are thinking of a career in international affairs, you should obviously take as many courses in the field as possible (OK, I'm biased!)
Besides that, you should think of focusing on a world region, including learning a language from that region. Although it is difficult to do this as an undergraduate, given limited course offerings, it can help to set you apart. Anything you can do to accentuate your uniqueness is a good thing. Unique experiences and unusual abilities help you stand out. Try to focus on what interests you and let God lead you the rest of the way.
A semester abroad during is one of the best ways of gaining international experience. Sponsored by the CCCU network of Christian colleges, the programs in China, Costa Rica, Egypt, Oxford, and Russia are excellent, and we highly recommend them. Several Malone students have attended these programs and had excellent experiences.
