Currently Scheduled Time:

January 5-9: Ray Ohlinger, Connections Middle School, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

January 12-16: Ray Ohlinger, Connections Middle School, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

When scheduling time, please be very specific and give me the range of times you would like me to cover, the topic/subject matter, and perhaps what you would like me to do (lecture, activity, assist in lab, conduct a lab, etc.).  I will try to update the "Currently Scheduled Time" on a daily basis or more frequently if possible.   If you have any suggestions to make this more efficient please let me know.  Thanks!

Pictures of Recent Activities:

Here's a few pictures of the students at Connections Middle School doing a great job learning the Mark-Recapture technique used to estimate animal populations (aka Lincoln Peterson Index).  The students used a beetle larvae known as a "superworm" as the model animal to see how this technique works.  Later this semester, these students will use the same technique to estimate the painted turtle population in Sippo Lake (sorry...I'll try to upload pictures later as I am having technical difficulties).
