Assistant Coaches

                                         
Offensive Coordinator- Dustin Miller
 
Dustin Miller returns for his second season as the Pioneers’ offensive coordinator after helping transform the Malone offense into one of the Mid-States Football Association’s top units in 2006.  Dustin is a 1993 graduate of Bethany College (KS) where he was an All-Conference running back, helping his team win two conference championships.  He later received a master’s degree in Education from Wichita State University (KS), studying Physical Education.  Dustin began his coaching career as a scout for Southeast of Saline High School in Gypsum, Kansas.  He then served as the running backs coach at his alma mater, Bethany College.  After winning a conference championship at Bethany, he returned to the high school ranks where he was the receivers, tight ends, and secondary coach.  Bethel College (KS) was his next stop coaching the quarterbacks, receivers, and tight ends from 1995-1998.  He also served as assistant offensive coordinator and passing game coordinator during his time at Bethel.  From 1999-2003, he was the assistant head coach and offensive coordinator at Bethany, helping the Swedes win two KCAC conference championships in addition to being named the 2002 AFLAC Assistant Coach of the Year.  From 2004-2005, he was the offensive coordinator at Tabor College (KS), serving under current Pioneer head coach Mike Gardner.  Dustin's offense led the NAIA in scoring during the 2005 regular season, setting nineteen Tabor offensive records.  In his first season at Malone, the Pioneer offense showed significant improvement as the squad concluded the 2006 campaign ranked third (out of 16 teams) in the MSFA in passing and seventh in total offense.  In addition, he has coached three conference players of the year.  Dustin resides in Massillon and has a son, Payton (9).

Offensive Line - Troy Schenk
 
Troy Schenk enters his second season at Malone College as the offensive line coach. He is a graduate of Trinity International University (IL) and has a bachelor’s degree in Sports and Wellness Management and a minor in Coaching.  Schenk was the offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator for Sterling College (KS) in 2004 and 2005, during which time the team’s offense was ranked in the top five nationally in rushing for both seasons.  In the fall of 2002, he was a graduate assistant coach in charge of linebackers for Trinity International before serving as the linebackers coach at Tabor College (KS) in the spring of 2003.  He also served as the tight ends and assistant offensive line coach along with being the special teams coordinator for Trinity International in the fall of 2003.  Troy and his wife, Candace, reside in Canton.

Defensive Line- Cliff Schenk
 
Cliff Schenk enters his second season at Malone College as the defensive line coach.  Cliff is a 2001 graduate of Tabor College (KS) with bachelor’s degrees in Elementary Education and Secondary Science.  He was a two-time Academic All-American during his playing career at Tabor and served as the defensive line coach at his alma mater during the 2004 and 2005 seasons.

Inside Linebackers- Rob Dine
 
Rob Dine returns for his second season on the Pioneer staff as the inside linebackers coach.  Dine, a 1981 graduate of McKinley High School, received his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Mount Union College in 1990.  While at Mount Union, Rob was a three year letter winner at linebacker.  During his playing tenure at McKinley, Dine was a member of the 1981 state championship team and earned honorable mention All-Ohio honors.  Rob was also the defensive captain and a two-way starter for the Bulldogs.  He is married to his wife Chris and has three children Rob, Danielle, and Chase.

Wide Receivers- Allen Foster
 
Allen Foster Jr. enters his second season as the wide receivers coach for the Pioneers.  Foster was a four-year letterman at Malone and was selected team captain during the 2000 campaign.  As a coach, Foster has been fortunate to work with a number of outstanding high school and collegiate athletes over the past five years.  At Shaker Heights High School in Cleveland, he was a junior varsity offensive coordinator for the football team and a throws coach for the track team.  As a senior captain at Malone in 2000, Allen started at least one game at all four positions in the defensive backfield and was named the Special Teams MVP following the 1999 season.  As a sophomore in 1998, he contributed to Malone’s last conference championship and playoff team.  He is currently pursuing a teaching certificate at Malone.

Running Backs- DaQuane Finley
 
 
DaQuane Finley returns for his fourth season on the Pioneer coaching staff and his second year coaching the running backs.  He received his bachelor’s degree in Art Education from Olivet Nazarene University (IL) in 1995.  DaQuane also played football at Olivet Nazarene and was a two time All-American in track & field.  He had a short professional football career with the Peoria Pirates of the Indoor Football League before coming to Malone and obtaining his master's degree in Christian Ministries.  In addition to his Malone coaching experience, Finley also served as the defensive coordinator for the Canton Legends of the AIFL during their inaugural season.

Outside Linebackers - Kyle Schenk
 
Kyle Schenk begins his first year at Malone as the outside linebackers coach.  Kyle has coached linebackers and/or defensive backs at Greenville College (IL), Taylor University (IN), and Trinity International University (IL).  He was a three-time All-MSFA linebacker at Trinity International, graduating in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education.  Kyle just recently earned his master’s degree in Education from Greenville.  He and his wife, Kristen, live in Canton.

Defensive Backs - Joe Fenske
 
Joe Fenske enters his first season on the Malone coaching staff as the secondary coach.  Joe, a native of Corning, California, earned his Associate Arts degree from Shasta Junior College in Redding, California in 2004 before transferring to Tabor College (KS) and playing two years at free safety for current Pioneer head coach Mike Gardner.  While at Tabor, he excelled on the playing field, collecting All-Conference accolades as a senior.  Joe, who currently resides in North Canton, graduated from Tabor this past May with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
