Meet Dan Stoffer

"As someone who is involved currently in ministry, this program provides practical ministry knowledge that can be put to use immediately."

Directing two ministries at my local church demands much of my time; however, having the option of taking convenient evening classes has enabled me to keep a busy ministry schedule and advance my education as well. It has been fascinating to study the history, writings, spiritual practices and applications of Christianity. I recognize the calling to proclaim God's Word is a great responsibility and requires studying, learning and drawing closer to Him. The program allowed me to do that!

While entering the program can be scary at first, my fear quickly subsided when I found how helpful and approachable many of the graduate professors and students are.

The program has deepened my faith by providing the opportunity for deeper study and reflection in many Biblical and theological works.
I plan to use by degree: to help me as I pursue ordination into full-time vocational ministry.

Adivce to Others Considering the Program: Don't let anything (including an unrelated undergraduate degree) keep you from pursuing this program. God has led me here and blessed me completely!

Noteworthy Experiences: My class in "Evangelism & Discipleship" was completely motivating and reassuring as to why we do ministry. It was fascinating to study even the ancient evangelistic techniques - like St. Patrick's ministry to the Celts - it has application to youth ministry today!
