My wife and I have been involved in several areas of ministry at our church involving divorce and stepfamilies. I felt a calling from the Lord to become more educated and equipped to help meet the needs of these ministries.

 

I have truly enjoyed the studies; the wealth of knowledge and passion of each of the professors and the practical knowledge we gain in each and every class.

 

I plan to use my degree: to become a more educated and equipped in my current volunteer ministries and see where the Lord calls me next. Through these classes I have gained a better understanding of the Bible, how to study it and how to apply it to my everyday life; especially teaching Sunday Morning classes and workshops at my church.

Advice to Others Considering the Program: take just one class and see how you grow spiritually. In fact, don't get focused on the degree too much...just enjoy the people, the professors and the classes. Leave your options open and let the Lord guide you on the journey of a lifetime. Life is a journey, enjoy the ride!

 

Noteworthy Experiences: For me, it's about the people you will meet. The people you take classes with are truly "on fire" to serve the Lord. They are very supportive and eager to share their love, knowledge and experience in practical ways from many different denominations. Also, the professors are so supportive and encouraging. They teach in such a way that you look forward to each class.
