At Cedarville, the Pioneers outscored the Yellow Jackets 53-50 in the second half but it wasn’t enough to offset Cedarville’s 60% shooting and 16-point advantage in the first period.  Miller led all scorers with 32 points (8-12 FG, 5-5 3-PT FG, 11-12 FT).  Conwell tallied 26 points while Mishler added an even dozen.  Cedarville held a 49-30 advantage on the boards as Allerding snagged six rebounds for Malone.  Mishler dished out five assists while he and Miller both collected four steals.
Against Geneva, the Pioneers trailed 48-47 at halftime but took control in the second stanza as they led by as many as 16 points before securing the 92-87 non-conference win.  Conwell led Malone with 31 points followed by Miller with 21 points.  Allerding and Schlabach rounded out the double digit scoring with 11 and 10 points, respectively.  In addition, Allerding also grabbed a team-best 10 boards but the Pioneers were outrebounded 54-42.  Mishler handed out six assists while Conwell posted five steals and James Hannum ( So., Perry H.S.) recorded three blocks.
