Art Analysis Workshop (liberal arts) - 2 Credit Hours

Course Objectives: To develop an appreciation of the diverse approaches to art and be able to analyze the works of various artists.

Saturdays:  June 14, 21, 28, and July 5, 2008

    Week 1, June 14, 2008: Introduction to the Schools of Art, Movements in Art, and Techniques used in Art--
                    Malone Campus
 
    Week 2, June 21, 2008: Visit to Canton Museum of Art
 
    Week 3, June 28, 2008: Visit to the Butler Institute of Art, Youngstown, Ohio
 
    Week 4: Analysis and Discussion--Malone Campus
 
Course Requirements
  • Course is graded as Credit/No Creditl
  • Attendance is required for all classes
  • Participation is required
  • Notebook/journal will be kept and turned in for grading
  • Research paper and brief presentation
