Zoo Biology Course Requirements


Many of our biology courses below have integrated the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo into some of the experiential requirements so that the student can become thoroughly emmersed in the culture of our contemporary zoos. This major takes between 4-5 years to complete and requires the following courses by discipline:

  • Neurophysiology (BIOL 450)
  • Physiological Psychology (PSYC 440)
  • Animal Physiology (BIOL 346)
  • Ornithology (BIOL 353)
  • Herpetology (BIOL 354)
  • General Ecology (BIOL 381)
  • Animal Behavior (BIOL 410)
