My Print Balance  - Questions & Answers

Q:  What is a print balance?
A:   The total remaining credit in your Malone printing account. This credit is “spent” when printing to a Malone-owned printer that is connected to the network such as those in the library or computer labs.

Q:  How many pages can I print?
A:  At the beginning of fall semester, you will have $30.00 deposited in your printing account to be used for the remainder of the academic year.  At $.05 per black and white page, this is the equivalent of 600 pages. The cost of a color printed page is $.25.

Q:  What if I use up all my credit?
A:  If you should use up your printing credit at any time during the school year, you can add credit to your printing account in $5.00 increments (100 pages b&w). In order to purchase more printing pages, you must come to the Information Technologies Department and sign an authorization form allowing the charge to be applied to your student account. Money in a printing account is nonrefundable and nontransferable.

Q:  What if I don’t use all my printing credit by the end of the year?
A:  Your unused balance from your printing account will be carried over to the next school year.

Q:  How do I know how much credit I have left on my balance?
A:  Once you have reached a balance of $5.00 (or 100 pages of black and white printing), an e-mail will be sent to your Malone student e-mail account.

You may also check your print balance at any time by accessing the Student Gateway login found on the Malone web site (www.malone.edu).

            1. Open to the Malone College home page.
            2. Click on the “Current Student” Gateway.
            3. Enter your network username and password in the login box at the right side of the screen.
            4. Click on the “Print Balance” link.
            5. You will, once again, be asked for your network username and password.
            6. The next screen should indicate the number of pages remaining on your balance.
