Student Organizations

Accounting Club
A student led organization to encourage accounting interest and ability and to help students learn about the profession of accounting.  Membership includes students who are interested in accounting and business.
 
Acts of Faith (Mime Team)
The purpose of the organization is to build up Christians in their faith and to challenge them to give their life completely over to God.  This organization will also help train people in creative evangelism and expose them to ministry opportunities.  This will be accomplished through prayer groups, training sessions, and performances as well as weekend practices as needed.  Membership is available through auditions.  For more information contact the College pastor.
 
Association of Information Technology Professionals
This chapter is a student group sponsored by the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) and a local chapter.  The AITP student chapter’s purpose is to promote a better understanding of sound general principles in information technology and equipment related to information technology.
 
Accounting/Business Club
This organization provides a channel of communication between students and the professional community through extracurricular activities.  Open to all accounting and business majors.
 
Alpha Psi Omega
Alpha Psi Omega was organized as a theatre honor society for the purpose or providing acknowledgement to those (college and university students) demonstrating a high standard of accomplishment in theatre, and through the expansion of Alpha Psi Omega among colleges and universities, providing a wider fellowship for those interested in theatre.  Students can qualify for membership into this society through participation in the Malone College Theatre.
 
Associated Students of Malone College
All persons who are enrolled as students of Malone College are members.
 
Aviso
The Aviso is the weekly campus student newspaper.  TO assist with the publication, see the editor in the Aviso office, located in the Randall Campus Center.
 
Baptist Collegiate Ministries
Open to any student, this organization provides a ministry to persons of the campus community, leading them towards faith in God through Jesus Christ, guiding them in Christian discipleship, and involving them in church membership.
 
Black Student Union (Multicultural Student Union)
Black Student Union, which is open to all Malone students, coordinates multicultural programs on campus in conjunction with Black Students at Malone, Mount Union, and the University of Akron.  The organization is committed to supporting students of color through group activities and planned events.
 
Campus Crusade for Christ
This group is dedicated to motivating Malone College to share the gospel, training folks in evangelism, joining together in outreaches, and praying for our schools, with the ultimate goal of bringing lost people into God’s kingdom.  We invite all who want to be radical disciples to join us in our meetings and outreaches.
 
Chancel Players
A drama outreach group, The Chancel Players, presents sketches and presentations with a Christian message to high schools, churches, and at special events on campus.  Any student may audition for this group.
 
Cheerleading Squad
This is a group chosen to promote school spirit represent Malone, and support the endeavors of athletes. Try-outs open to any interested student.
 
Chorale
The Malone Chorale is a mixed-gender group of approximately 40 students selected by audition.  The Chorale performs in area churches and tours for a week in the spring.  Their tours have taken them to Austria, New York, New England, Michigan, Florida, The Bahamas, and England.
 
Christian Service Association
This organization is committed to building strong Christian leaders.  It is open to all students and will utilize a mentoring program, training seminars, and guest speakers.  Although sponsored by the Department of Religion and Philosophy, membership is open to all majors.
 
College Hill  Residence Hall Council
The governing body of the College Hill residence hall.
 
Collegium Philosophicum
This organization aims to provide students with a forum for discussing issues that lie at the intersection of philosophy, theology and contemporary culture.  Open to all interested students.
 
Communications Committee
This committee is responsible for publicity for all student activities.  Places “table-tents” in the Hoover Dining Commons and Froggy’s several times a week, listing weekly events and other items of students’ interest.
 
Communication Arts Club
The Communication Arts Club mission is to provide an environment in which Communication Arts students are able to thrive and expand their interests and abilities.  Membership shall be open to any Malone Student, regardless of race, gender of creed, who is enrolled as a Communication Arts major, Integrated Language Arts major or potential Communication Arts major.
 
Commuters   Association
All commuting students are members.  The purpose of the organization is to provide services and facilities to meet the needs of traditional as well as the nontraditional (over 25 years of age) commuting students.  We assess their needs, and try to ensure that Malone provides the commuter students with equal access to services and facilities and that the College makes available opportunities to assist non-traditional/commuting students in their individual/communal development.  MCTA acts as an advocate to other student populations, faculty, and administration, evaluates using both qualitative and quantitative methods, and provides ongoing evaluations of regular programs to determine if we are meeting the needs of our population.
 
Commuter Bible Study
 This group meets for Bible study and fellowship and is open to any interested student.  Meets every Friday at 10:00 a.m. in Bennett Lounge
 
Eta Sigma Gamma
Eta Sigma Gamma is the National Professional health Education Honorary for professionals in community and school health.  The ideals of the honorary are teaching research and service.
 
Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)
FCA is an organization whose mission is “to present to athletes, coaches, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.”
 
Forensics Club
Forensics is the art of public speaking and debate.  Members have the opportunity to participate in numerous forms of speaking and interpretation of speech.  Any student interested in learning how to speak properly and who enjoys an intellectual challenge may become a member.
 
Free Enterprise Club
Membership is open to all business and accounting students.  Activities include field trips and dialogue sessions with business people.
 
From the Catacombs
The Catacombs is the annual literary magazine.  The Catacombs contains or original works composed by students, faculty, and staff.
 
Future Scientists of Malone
This student organization is for science majors and those planning to be in science majors.
 
Glorious Reflections
An interpretive dance troop group, which uses the art of dance as their ministry.  Open to all interested students.
 
Habitat for Humanity
Our Malone organization is affiliated with Habitat for Humanity International, Inc.  Any interested student may become a member.  
 
Haviland   Residence Hall Council
The governing body of the Haviland Hall residence hall.  Leaders are elected by residents of Haviland to promote programming and community involvement.
 
Health & Human Performance Society
This organization provides students in health and human performance an opportunity to interact socially with other aspiring professionals in related disciplines.  Open to students with an interest in health and human performance.
 
Helping Hands
This campus-wide service organization focuses on meeting needs on campus and in the community.  All students with a heart to serve are welcome to join.
 
Heritage Residence Hall Council
The governing body of the Heritage Hall residence hall.  Leaders are elected by residents of Heritage to promote programming and community involvement.
 
History & Social Science Club
Membership in Cliophile Club of Malone College is open to all personnel of the college community who have an interest in history and/or social sciences.  Membership is granted to those who pay their dues and are actively involved.
 
 MISA gives international students an opportunity to interact with each other and other students on campus.  The group engages in off-campus activities to acquaint international students with the Stark County community and American cultural.  MISA is open to all students.
 
Intramural Athletics
The Co-Directors of Intramurals direct a variety of intramural sports for men and women.  Any interested student may participate.  Please note:  Participation in Intramurals is at one’s own risk.
 
Jazz Ensemble
The Jazz Ensemble, a group of approximately twenty musicians, performs various styles of jazz from contemporary jazz.  Open to all Malone students.  Call the Fine Arts Office at 471-8231 for an audition
