Christina Schnyders

DeVol Hall

Born and raised in Northern California, Christina attended Simpson University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology (and met fellow Malone Resident Director, Sarah Jobson!).  During her time at Simpson, she developed a passion for leadership development, worship ministries, and mentoring students.  She worked at Simpson University for two years in the area of worship ministries before moving to Ohio to pursue a counseling degree at Ashland Theological Seminary.  Christina graduated from the seminary in 2005 with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical/Pastoral Counseling, and became a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Ohio in November of 2005.  She was serving as the program director for a church in Ashland, Ohio before answering God’s call to work at Malone.

Christina oversees DeVol Hall (formerly known as College Hill) and has 5 Resident Assistants.  She truly enjoys building relationships with students and helping them see their potential in Christ.  In sum, Christina desires to help Malone students develop holistically into the people God intends for them to be.

Though many and varied, some of Christina’s interests include playing violin and guitar, singing, laughing, reading, (particularly anything written by Donald Miller or Lauren Winner), watching movies, laughing, waxing eloquently, sports(playing and watching)...did she mention laughing?  Friends tell her that she is an interesting mixture of wisdom, passion, joy, and spunk.  Her heartfelt desire is that the Lord would use her life to bring others to know Him and make Him known.
