Hannah Riley, of Minerva and a 2008 graduate of
Minerva
High School
, has recently signed a national latter of intent to attend
Malone
College
this fall and to play volleyball for the Pioneers. The 5’7” outside hitter and setter was a four-year letter winner in volleyball and a one-year letter winner in basketball at Minerva.
Riley was named an NBC,
Stark
County
and District IV 1st Team selection in all four years at Minerva and was voted Player of the Year in each of those three as a senior and for the NBC and
Stark
County
as a junior. As a sophomore, she was named Player of the Year in
Stark
County
and, as a senior, was voted 3rd Team All Ohio.
Riley paced her team to the 2007 NBC championship and led the Lions to a 2005 district runner-up finish. Academically, she was a member of the National Honors Society.
Riley intends to major in Nursing at Malone. She is the daughter of Michael and Shawn Riley.
