What We Do
The Office of Multicultural Services at Malone College was established to serve the needs of students of color and to increase the Multicultural environment of the campus.  Our goal is to demonstrate that cultural and racial differences are valuable dimensions of   Malone College’s campus, which enhance the learning environment and enrich the entire Community.  This office seeks to provide resources, support services and educational programming that assist Malone in building and maintaining a community that is more inclusive of under-represented American ethnic minorities, and international students.

Students are encouraged and welcome to drop in and get acquainted. The office is located on the second floor of The Barn (Director of Multicultural Services), 515 - 25th Street NW, Canton, Ohio 44709.

Our Mission
The primary mission of the Office of Multicultural Services is to increase the number of students of color who achieve success at Malone College.  To accomplish this mission we strive to:

  • improve the campus climate and academic environment for students of color
  • assist the Office of Admissions in the expansion of recruitment of students of color
  • provide services to students of color which will help them become more successful
  • provide resources and educational programming concerning Multicultural issues
  • coordinate orientation programs for ethnic minorities , international, and children of missionaries

Services
Operating under the office of the Provost, we provide a variety of services including Multicultural awareness programming for Humanities 100 and other classes, faculty staff as well as efforts focusing on orientation, assistance in resolving problems related to campus life, personal advising for students of color. 

We also assist and underwrite some of the costs for students, or staff to attend Multicultural, international or multiracial conferences or workshops.

Our services also include collecting and distributing information on opportunities that would be of special interest to students of color, scholarships, employment, internships, graduate programs and campus activities.
