On Monday, the Pioneers swept a doubleheader with Coe (IA) College, winning game one 10-8 (eight innings) and game two 8-1.  Malone defeated Lebanon Valley (PA) College 8-1 on Tuesday before pummeling Rochester Institute of Technology (NY) 17-9 on Wednesday.  On Thursday, the Pioneers defeated Haverford (PA) College (PA) 6-1 in the morning and then outlasted Wisconsin Lutheran College 8-3 in the afternoon.  Malone wrapped up the trip on Friday by overwhelming Lebanon Valley 10-2.  Each of the five games played Tuesday through Friday were scheduled for nine innings.  Two additional games scheduled for Saturday - vs. Dordt (IA) and Dickinson State (ND) - were rained out.
Against Coe in game one, Malone faced an enormous 8-0 early deficit before rallying back to tie the game 8-8 in the top of the seventh inning as Alton Thompson (Sr., Coshocton H.S.) came off the bench to deliver the clutch game-tying single.  The Pioneers then proceeded to score twice in the top of the eighth inning en route to the 10-8 comeback victory.  Anthony Barson (Sr., Timken H.S.) recorded his third victory of the young season by holding Coe scoreless over the final 2.2 innings.  In addition, Troy Richeson (So., Minerva H.S.), Zac Barson (Fr., Canton South H.S.), and D.J. Lung (Fr., Canton Central Catholic H.S.) each recorded two RBI.
