Canton, Ohio — Malone’s hometown — is the quintessential small American city. It’s big enough to offer a wide range of activities and attractions, yet small enough to feel neighborly. Canton is the home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and it is an extended home for Malone students, where any place that serves food or plays music is a favorite hangout. Just fifteen minutes north of Canton is Akron, Ohio; within 60 miles, Cleveland and Youngstown; within two hours, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Columbus, Ohio.

Malone’s location is quiet enough to be a college town, and yet close enough to schools, medical care, corporations, and recreation to provide endless possibilities for off-campus jobs and internships, co-op and practicum experiences, and student teaching. For fun, within an hour’s drive you’ll find the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame & Museum, the woods and trails of The Wilderness Center, Geauga Lake amusement park, the Cleveland Metropark Zoo, canoe liveries, more than 40 golf courses, outstanding museums of art and natural history, Cleveland’s Gateway Center, and all the fun of Ohio’s “North Coast.”
