NURSING POSITIONS
Position: Two tenure track full time faculty positions, assistant or associate professor rank
May include the Director of BSN Program appointment
Starting Date: August, 2008
Responsibilities Teach in baccalaureate and/or graduate programs.
Academic advising.
Serve on program, school, and institutional committees.
Engage in scholarship, community service, and professional practice.
Qualifications (required for undergraduate teaching)
RN licensure in Ohio (or license eligible). Five or more years of professional practice. Specialty background in at least one of the following areas: community health; critical care; adult health; maternity/women’s health; psychiatric mental health.
MSN from accredited program. Strong commitment to teaching excellence, community engagement, and scholarly research. Christian faith commitment consistent with Malone's mission. Additional requirements for graduate teaching
Current certification as nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist
Teaching experience in higher education
Doctoral degree, completed
Qualifications (required for BSN Director)
Completed doctorate or ABD
Undergraduate curriculum experience
Teaching experience in higher education
School Information
The School of Nursing provides a four-year baccalaureate program, a BSN completion program for RN’s, and a MSN program with a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) track and a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) Adult track. The School of Nursing undergraduate and graduate programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Total student enrollment is around 400.
Malone College
Malone College is a Christian College for the Arts, Sciences, and Professions, affiliated with the Evangelical Friends Church-Eastern Region. The College has enjoyed significant growth in student enrollments, programs, physical facilities and financial position in the last two decades. Total enrollment is approximately 2300 students, with 1450 full-time undergraduates as well as adult degree-completion programs and graduate programs.
