Open Frame Production Workshop

The Production Workshops 
 
The Communication Arts Department will sponsor a series of workshops over the course of the school year dealing with film production.  Faculty members, screenwriters, and local and national filmmakers will screen films and present seminars targeted to help student filmmakers succeed in making short films.
 
Workshop sessions will focus upon the unique constraints of the short form, writing a script, pre-production, the roles of the crew, production, editing, use of music in film, and marketing your film.
 
Six Fellowships will be awarded to qualified students.  These students will have primary access to presenters in the workshops, will have first rights to departmental production equipment and will be eligible for departmental support in the production of their short films.
