Women's Golf Team Finishes Third At AMC Championships

The Malone College women's golf team came in third among a seven-team field at the AMC Championships at the Mayfield Country Club in South Euclid, Ohio on Monday (Oct. 17th).   Malone tallied a score of 375 for the 18-hole event as Tiffin University won the tournament and automatic bid to the NAIA National Championships next spring, with a score of 344.  Walsh University came in second with a score of 352 while Ohio Dominican University and Urbana University tied for fourth place with scores of 378.   Ursuline College posted a score of 431 to finish sixth as Notre Dame (OH) College rounded out the field in seventh place at 455.
 
For Malone, Heather Grovemiller (Sr., Perry H.S.) led the Pioneers with a score of 91 to place 10th overall in the competition.  Megan Grubb (Jr., Lake H.S.) followed by posting a score of 94.  Laurie Grubb (Fr., Lake H.S.) and Jenn Blocker (Fr., Westerville H.S.) each carded a 95 and Elena Duncan (Fr., Winona Lake, IN) rounded out the Pioneer scoring with a 99.
