The Organizational Management and Project Management concentrations are available online at this time. Organizational Management coursework emphasizes dealing effectively with people, problem solving, management theory and motivation, critical and creative thinking, and ethics. Project Management coursework provides the knowledge and skills necessary to manage technical teams and projects.
Online Organizational Management Concentration
Courses are five weeks with a week in between. Additional weeks off may be included in the online course calendar particularly around major holidays. The online Management Program is 14 months.

*Courses MCMP303, MCMP304, and MCMP406 of the Organizational Management concentration will be replaced by MCMP403, MCMP404, and MCMP405 for the Project Management concentration. All other courses will remain the same. Second Trimester 12 Credit Hours

Course Descriptions MCMP Online
MCMP 201 Group and Organizational Behavior (3 cr.) A study of group behavior and how group functioning affects organizational effectiveness. Emphasis is placed on group decision-making, conflict resolving, efficient and productive group management and determining which tasks are best handled by groups or individuals. MCMP 203 Business Communications (3 cr.)
An introduction to the business communication process with special attention given to skill building in public speaking, listening, small and large group presentations and a review of electronic mail, writing business letters, memos and brief reports. Students are required to give two presentations. The presentations must be video taped while being delivered in front of an audience with a minimum of at least 10 people in attendance. Students are responsible for securing their own video camera and organizing their own audience. If there is enough student interest, students may also have the option of delivering their presentations live at Malone College's Canton campus on a date determined by the instructor. A review of the basics of financial accounting, financial statement ratio analysis, budgeting and computer applications, for use in information analysis and decision-making. Each student completes a written and oral presentation of the first half of their research project. Students are required to present Part One of their project. The presentation may be taped while delivered before an audience of their choosing or presented live at Malone College's Canton campus on a date determined by the instructor.
MCMP 441L Introduction to the Independent Research Project
Each student combines his/her research with practical implementation of theories and concepts and develops an individual project. The project examines a problem in a student's occupation or avocation. Library research methods and resources are introduced to assist students in the development of this project.
MCMP 442 Independent Research Project - Part II (2 cr.)
Each student completes a written and oral presentation of the second half of their research project. Students are required to present their completed project. The presentation may be taped while delivered before an audience of their choosing or presented live at Malone College's Canton campus on a date determined by the instructor.
