Bryan came to Malone from Baylor University where he taught in the Department of Religion for two years before earning his Ph.D. in May of 2006.  He has also studied at Fuller Theological Seminary where he earned the MDiv degree in 2001.  Bryan ’s research and writing interests are in constructive and philosophical theology, and especially in the mid-twentieth century French Ressourcement best exemplified in the work of Henri de Lubac.  His dissertation is entitled Ontology, Exegesis, and Culture in the Thought of Henri de Lubac.  Bryan is married to Suzanne and has three growing children: Harrison, Claire, and John.
