Arnold Hodgin brought with him a life rich in experience as a pastor, evangelist, and educator. He was retiring from a teaching position with Asbury College when asked to serve as Cleveland Bible College's fifth president. Previously, he had served as chairman of the board for a number of years with the World Gospel Mission, as a dean of a Bible institute in Kansas and as president of Azusa Pacific University (then-Huntington Park Training School for Christian workers).
