Byron Osborne '16 enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship with Malone College, first as a student, then joining the staff in 1920 and eventually serving the College for more than 70 years. Perhaps he is best known as the president who brought Malone College to Canton. A series of events and prayerful consideration led to the relocation and renaming of the campus. Byron Osborne proved himself to be up to the challenges. His distinguished career also included recorded minister, missionary, author (The Malone Story), positions of leadership on numerous Evangelical Friends Church - Eastern Region boards and committees, vice president for the Accrediting Association of Bible Colleges, editor of the Evangelical Friend; and even managing his own radio ministry. Osborne Hall bears his name.
