On July 23rd all student passwords will be reset to the Default Malone College password. On this date you will be required to set-up and use our new Self Service Password Reset System before you can continue to use Malone College technology resources.
Once you have set-up the Self Service Password Reset System you will need only one password to access all of your Malone College Technology resources. Additionally, our Self-Service Password Reset System will allow you to reset your password at any time, from anywhere if it has been forgotten or compromised.
- First-time using the Password Reset System.
- Reset your password when you have forgotten your password.
- Change your password when you know your current password.
First-time using the Password Reset System
In order to use the Password Reset System all first-time users must log into the system with their current login ID and password. NOTE: On July 23rd all student passwords were reset to the Default Malone College password.
Students - Your Default password can be determined using the following formula:
Default Password = first initial, middle initial, last initial, followed by the last 4 digits of your social security number (If no SS#, try 4 zeros.)
Sample name: John Q. Public --- SS#: 111-22-1234
Password: jqp1234
If you do not know your current login information please contact our Information Technology Office at (330) 471-8428. Once you have logged into the system, you will select and respond to four security questions. These questions will be used when you want to reset passwords.

- Set the Domain Name:
Students will select: Student Domain
Faculty/Staff will select: Malone Domain
- Enter Login ID
- Click on “Login” button
- Enter your password
- Click on “Verify Password” button
From the “Your Current Challenge Response Q & A” Screen you will be prompted to select four security questions. To select a question:
- Click on the drop down arrow in the question field and click on selected question
- Provide your answer in the corresponding text box.
- Click on “Submit Changes” button
From the “Main Menu Screen” you will be able to change your password.
- Click on the “Change Passwords” link
- Enter new password
- Confirm new password
- Click on the “Change my Password” button.
From the “Password Change Results” Screen you will receive confirmation that your password was changed successfully.
You have now successfully set-up the Password Reset System. In the future should you need to change your password use either the “Reset your password when you have forgotten your password” function or the “Change your password when you know your current password” function.
If you have forgotten your password and need to reset your password:
- Go to the following website: http://userid.malone.edu
- Set the Domain Name:
Students will select: Student Domain
Faculty/Staff will select: Malone Domain
- Enter Login ID
- Click on “Login” button
From the “Select an Authentication Method” Screen
- Click on “Answer Personal Questions” button
- Answer your personal questions.
- Click on the “continue” button
From the “Main Menu” Screen
- Click on the “Change Passwords” link
- Enter new password
- Confirm new password
- Click on the “Change my Password” button.
From the “Password Change Results” Screen you will receive confirmation that your password was changed successfully.
If you know your password and wish to change your password:
- Go to the following website: http://userid.malone.edu
- Set the Domain Name:
Students will select: Student Domain
Faculty/Staff will select: Malone Domain
- Enter Login ID
- Click on “Login” button
From the “Select an Authentication Method” Screen
- Click on the “Use a Password” button
From the “Verify Password” Screen
- Enter your password
- Click on the “Verify Password” button
From the “Main Menu” Screen
- Click on the “Change Passwords” link
- Enter new password
- Confirm new password
- Click on the “Change my Password” button.
From the “Password Change Results” Screen you will receive confirmation that your password was changed successfully.
