Changing or Resetting Your PasswordOn July 23rd all student passwords will be reset to the Default Malone College password. On this date students will be required to set-up and use our new Self Service Password Reset System before they can continue to use Malone College technology resources.
The new Self Service Password Reset System will enable you to do the following:
Once you have changed your password using the Self Service Password Reset System you will be able to access all of your Malone College Technology resources using your new password. Additionally, our Self-Service Password Reset System will allow you to reset your password at any time, from anywhere if it has been forgotten or compromised.
Students - Your username can be determined by using the following formula:
Username = first initial, middle initial, last name, and the number 1, 2, 3, etc.
Sample name: John Q. Public
Username: jqpublic1
Faculty/Staff - Your username is your first initial followed by your last name. Example: jpublic
Students - Your default password can be determined by using the following formula:
Default Password = first initial, middle initial, last initial, followed by the last 4 digits of your social security number (If no SS#, try 4 zeros.)
Sample name: John Q. Public --- SS#: 111-22-1234
Password: jqp1234 Faculty/Staff - Please call the Help Desk (x8428) to obtain your password.
How can I change my password? In order to use the Password Reset System all first-time student users must log into the system with their current username and password. NOTE: On July 23rd all student passwords will be reset to the Default Malone College password. Staff and faculty members will not be affected by this change.
You have now successfully set-up the Password Reset System. In the future should you need to change your password use either the “Reset your password when you have forgotten your password” function or the “Change your password when you know your current password” function.
If you have forgotten your password, but you have setup your question and answer pairs within the Password Reset System and need to reset your password:
If you have forgotten your password and have not setup your question and answer pairs within the Password Reset System, you will need to contact the Help Desk (330.471.8428) to make arrangements to have your password reset. We must confirm your identity to reset your password.
