Malone Captures Walsh Invitational

The Malone College women's golf team captured the four-team Walsh University Invitational last Saturday with a score of 371, 12 shots ahead of runner-up Urbana University, which finished at 383.  Ohio Dominican University finished third at 385 while Walsh placed fourth at 396.     
 
Jennifer Blocker (So., Westerville H.S.) tied for second overall and led the way for Malone with a round of 89 while Jennifer Snyder (Fr., Wexford, PA) was right behind in fourth at 90.  Both Blocker and Snyder were named to the All-Tournament Team for their efforts.  Other scores for Malone included Heather Hall (Sr., Bellefontaine H.S.) at 94, Elena Duncan (So., Winona Lake, IN) at 94 and Alyssa Westfall (Ashland H.S.) at 102.
    
This week, Malone will compete at the Ohio Dominican University Invitational on Friday and Saturday (Oct. 5-6).
