Session 2: Tues., Oct. 16, 4-5 p.m.

We have all likely faced the challenge from time to time of responding to students who resist becoming active members of the class, challenge prescribed expectations for learning or perhaps even exhibit behaviors that interfere with the learning of fellow peers. What factors contribute to such resistance? What can we do to establish a learning environment where student resistance is less likely to occur? Join your colleagues in meaningful conversation around what the literature says as well as what their experience has taught them, and leave with specific strategies that will help promote learning for all students.
