Malone College is a Christian college for the arts, sciences, and professions in the liberal arts tradition, affiliated with the Evangelical Friends Church.  The mission of Malone College is to provide students with an education based on biblical faith in order to develop men and women in intellectual maturity, wisdom, and Christian faith who are committed to serving the church, community, and world.  Malone College has a Christian faculty and is intentional about integration of faith and learning for students.  The College has enjoyed significant growth in student enrollments, programs, physical facilities, and financial positions in the last two decades.  Total enrollment is approximately 2400 students, with 1500 full-time undergraduates as well as a growing number of adult degree-completion and graduate programs.

DESCRIPTION
Malone College invites candidates for the position of Chief Academic Officer.  The Chief Academic Officer will provide visionary leadership to the Malone College community.  The prospective individual will have strong leadership ability along with the ability and desire to act with openness.  Superior communication skills are essential along with the ability to discern wisely, act with integrity, compassion, and Christian love towards others. The candidate should have an entrepreneurial approach to the advancement of the mission of the College and have a demonstrated history of success.
 
The individual will report directly to and serve as advisor to the President.  He/she will participate on the President’s Leadership Team, Promotion and Tenure (chair), Curriculum (both graduate and undergraduate) Committees, and the Dean’s Council.  The Chief Academic Officer oversees all academic programs and academic personnel including the deans of the various schools, the Office of the Registrar, Office of Graduate Services, the Library, and the Office of Advising and Testing, as well as the instructional budget.  Eligible candidates will need to have an appropriate earned doctorate and understand assessment and the accreditation process, and have the ability to lead with clarity, charity, and strength.  The candidate will take stewardship responsibility for all of the College’s resources and understand what is necessary to achieve results in line with the organization's values and vision.
