Pump & 5K Run Jack Hazen OpenPump and 5K Run

Malone College HHP Wellness Council will hold The Pump and 5K Run on April 5, 2008 at Malone College. This event will commemorate the 40 years of service from Cross Country Coach Jack Hazen and it will coincide with the Jack Hazen Open in which multiple college and university track teams will be competing. The pump section of this event will be a new and exciting aspect of racing in which participants will combine the bench press with running a 5K. Males and females will get a 30 second deduction from his/her race time for each time they can bench press a percentage of their body weight. Proceeds will be donated to continued wellness programming at Malone College and to Refuge of Hope in Canton, Ohio (www.refugeofhope.org)
