Christian recording artist Tara Leigh Cobble will perform in concert Friday, April 11 at 9 p.m. in Bennett Lounge of the Randall Campus Center on the Malone College campus at 515 25th Street N.W. in Canton. The concert is free to Malone College students and faculty; $5.00 at the door for guests.
Tara Leigh recently released her latest album and book within months of each other. Crowded Skies: Letters to Manhattan is a follow up to her first book, Here’s to Hindsight: Letters to My Former Self. Her fourth CD, Here’s to Hindsight followed releases Beneath This Skin, Home Sweet Road, and Things You Can’t Stop With Your Hands. Her music is described as “a little tender, a lot gutsy.”
She has been touring since May of 2000 and has been the winner of GMA’s National Spotlight Competition in Washington, D.C., and a finalist in GMA’s International Spotlight Competition.
Tara’s style is often described as “Sheryl Crow meets David Wilcox,” an organic blend of folk rock and roots rock, with thought-provoking themes. Her warmth and good-humor make an audience feel as if they are sitting down with an old friend—a very talented old friend!
