Two Former Malone Football Players Earn Spots On Canton Legends Roster

Former Malone College football players Rayshawn Cole and Tino Roland have both earned spots on the Canton Legends Football Team after making the final cuts last week as the team heads into its opening game at home against the Erie River Rats on Saturday.

Cole, a 5’9”, 175 lb. defensive back from Akron (Firestone H.S.), concluded his career at Malone in 2006 while Roland, a 6’1”, 280 lb. defensive lineman from Monroe , Georgia , finished his career in the recent 2007 campaign.

As a senior, Cole posted 45 tackles and two interceptions to earn All MSFA Mideast League Second Team honors while Roland, in his final season, collected 17 tackles to earn All MSFA Mideast Honorable Mention accolades.
