Bloom-Carroll’s Alex Grover To Play Baseball For Malone CollegeAlex Grover, of Carroll and a 2008 graduate of Bloom-Carroll High School, has recently signed a national letter of intent to attend Malone College and play baseball for the school. Grover, a 5’11” outfielder and pitcher, lettered four years in baseball as well as three years in football for the Bulldogs.
Grover garnered many athletic and academic awards throughout his high school career. In baseball as a junior and senior, he was named First Team Central District, First Team Midstate League Buckeye Division, and Midstate League Buckeye Division Player of the Year. In 2007, Grover was named the Lancaster Eagle Gazette Baseball Athlete of the Year and was also a two-time Player of the Week recipient. In addition, as a senior he was named to the Columbus Dispatch/Agonis Club All-Star Baseball Team. Off the field, Grover received Distinguished Honor Roll all four years of high school, as well as being awarded Student of The Month, Scholar Athlete, and Who’s Who Among American High School Students.
Grover intends to major in Forensic Science at Malone. He is the son of Greg and Kathy Grover of 3828 Eagle Drive, Carroll. |
