Pioneers Finish Seventh At Ohio Dominican Invitational

 
The Malone University women’s golf team finished seventh among an eight-team tournament field at the Ohio Dominican University Invitational last Friday and Saturday.  The Pioneers posted a total score of 771 (387-384) as Wittenberg University took the team title at 767. Ohio Dominican was second (680), Walsh University took third (688), the University of Northwestern Ohio placed fourth (720) and Urbana University rounded out the top five at 727.     
 
The Malone women were led by junior Elena Duncan (Winona Lake, IN) who finished 14th with a total score of 176 (90-86). Other Malone scores in the contest included Jen Blocker (Jr., Westerville H.S.) in 20th at 180 (86-94), Alyssa Westfall (So., Ashland H.S.) in 33rd at 197 (99-98), Sarah Ramsey (Jr., Kenton Ridge H.S.) in 41st at 221 (112-109) and Kahle Bryant (Fr., Westerville North H.S.) in 43rd at 233 (127-106).
 
This week, the team will compete at the Allegheny (PA) College Invitational on Thursday.
