Actually, the constraints of this unique form highlight some of the best aspects of theatre – collaboration, improvisation, creativity. Along the way many people have an opportunity to experience a bit of the magic of bringing stories to life on stage.
7:30-9 p.m. - Playwrights/directors meet
9-9:15 p.m.- Introduction/kick-off
9:15-10:15 p.m.- Acting auditions/crew sign-up
10:15-10:45 p.m. - Casting/pizza party
10:45-11 p.m.- Cast and crew announcement/prayer
11 p.m.-12 midnight - Actors/directors/playwrights meet
12 midnight-6 a.m.- Playwrights write
6 -7 a.m.- Directors read first draft
7-8 a.m.- Playwrights finalize draft
7-9 a.m.- Directors meet with technical directors
8-9 a.m.- Directors/playwrights final read
8:30 a.m. - Breakfast available
9 a.m. - Crew members meet with technical director
9-10 a.m. - Actors/directors/playwrights read through
9:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m.- Rehearsal (rotation on stage)
12 noon - Lunch available
2:30-4:30 p.m. - Rehearsal (tech has stage)
4:30 p.m. - Dinner production meeting w/tech
4-5 p.m. - Dinner/full company meeting
5-8 p.m. - Technical rehearsal
8 p.m. - Call
8:30 p.m. - House opens
9 p.m. - Showtime!
