Flute Ensemble
The Malone University Flute Ensemble is a select group of students who have been chosen through audition or faculty recommendation. Under the guidance of Julie Sarver, this chamber ensemble performs without a conductor, giving the students true chamber music experience, responsibility, and leadership opportunities. The ensemble utilizes four different instruments in the flute family, including the piccolo, alto flute and bass flute. The repertoire contains a wide variety of musical styles, from classical arrangements to popular tunes and holiday music. This ensemble performs regularly at receptions, concerts, churches and other performing venues.
Students who wish to participate in the Flute Ensemble are also required to take Applied Flute lessons.
