Malone University's Pre-Professional Club was established in 2011 to assist students who are planning to pursue further education at professional schools.
Semi-monthly meetings help students navigate through what can be a complicated application process, present updates in medical literature, and host guest speakers from various professional schools.
Some activities we have planned for the Fall semester:
Friday, 9.26: Bonfire/Game night at Dr. Rogers'. We will meet at the Barn at 5 p.m. and carpool to Dr. Rogers. RSVP is required for this event.
Monday, 9.29: Mary Beth Breda, Program Coordinator of Volunteer Services at Mercy Medical Center will share with us about shadowing and volunteering opportunities available at Mercy. This is an important meeting to attend!! Shadowing experiences are an essential part of your preparation for applying to professional schools. Meet in MH 207 at 10 a.m.
Monday 10.13: Dr. Lora Wyss, Professor of Nursing at Malone, will share with us about the Hartville Migrant Clinic and its service to the migrant population in Hartville. We will be discussing our service/outreach project for the year. Meet in MH 207 at 10 a.m.
Our mentoring program which matches upperclassmen with underclassmen. This helps focus new members on career choices.
