International Business Minor
Be prepared to enter the business world with the skills necessary to represent your organization wisely, both in the U.S. and overseas.
As part of this program, you will study abroad for 10 weeks during the summer with our inter-collegiate and international partner, the International Business Institute, which includes periods of residence in key locations as well as coordinated visits and presentations in the major political and economic centers of Russia, The European Union, India, and China.
The prerequisite courses required before studying abroad through IBI makes it possible for both business majors and non-business majors to be able to complete the minor successfully.
The International Business Minor consists of:
- ACCT 211 Principles of Accounting *
- BUS 311 Marketing *
- BUS 342 Management Principles *
- ECON 202 Principles of Macroeconomics *
ECON 203 Principles of Microeconomics *
Note: these courses should be taken prior to the trip with International Business Institute (IBI), where you can earn credit for the following courses:
- IBI 331 Comparative Economic Systems
- IBI 350 International Trade and Finance
- IBI 339 Global Marketing
- IBI 390 Global Business Strategy
