Bible & Theology Minors
Department of Theology minors allow students to gain expertise in an area of theological study distinct from their major.
Minors are available to all students and are especially valuable to students not taking a major in the Department of Theology.
We offer the following minors:
The Bible minor helps students gain expertise in their understanding of Christian Scripture and its interpretation.
The Biblical Languages minor introduces students to the original languages of the Old and New Testament (Hebrew and Greek).
The Educational Ministries minor helps students learn to effectively communicate the Christian faith to diverse age groups in the church.
The Missions and Cross Cultural Ministries Minor acquaints students with the principles of God's mission to the world and gives them a practical field experience in cross cultural missions.
The Sports Ministry minor helps students think through the relationship between sport/competition and the Christian faith, and helps them learn to use recreation as a venue for Gospel communication.
The Theology minor helps students understand the fundamental claims of the Christian faith and leads them to consider more fully those controversial issues with which all Christians grapple.
The Youth Ministry minor enables students to be more effective in working with high school and junior high youth in church and para-church contexts.
