Certainly the impact of mathematics and computer applications has revolutionized the manner in which our daily lives proceed. We believe that it is important to provide students with a sound foundation in the discipline of mathematics and to offer the latest advances in the technological art of computer science. The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science offers majors in Computer Science (Information Systems Track and Computer Science Track), and Mathematics. In conjunction with the School of Education, the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science offers a licensure program in Integrated Mathematics. This area of specialty prepares students for secondary teaching licensure for grades 7-12. NOTE: Students pursuing the teaching area above (i.e., Integrated Mathematics) must have a minimum 2.50 gpa in major course work and a minimum 2.75 gpa overall to be accepted into teacher education.
