Malone University, located in historic Canton, Ohio, seeks an experienced, energetic, innovative Dean for the School of Business and Leadership.

The successful candidate will provide leadership and vision for future growth and development of vibrant programs in the fields of business, management, entrepreneurship, and leadership to meet the curricular and delivery needs of the 21st Century student. The Dean will actively engage business, civic, and corporate leaders in the Canton, Stark County and northeastern Ohio region and cultivate partnerships for the benefit of the School’s programs, students, and faculty.
The Dean leads faculty in program development and innovation, oversees program directors, and promotes and enriches a student-centered culture. The Dean is expected to lead academic units in the advancement of objectives and initiatives in the University Strategic Plan and to ensure that budget centers maximize resources, stewardship and alignment with the plan; works with University Marketing to promote programs and activities; with Enrollment Management to ensure coordinated engagement in recruiting, enrolling, and admitting qualified students; and with University Advancement to seek and develop creative methods for resourcing programs.
The Dean will oversee programs and activities of the university’s Center for Leadership (anticipated launch in 2014).
Malone University is seeking an energetic, accomplished, and entrepreneurial leader for the School of Business and Leadership. Doctorate preferred but qualified candidates with a graduate degree in a business-related field with an accomplished record of practical experience will be considered. The successful candidate will have a commitment to a personal Christian faith and have the ability to integrate faith in the leadership role.
Malone University School of Business and Leadership
The School of Business and Leadership offers programs traditional programs in accounting, business administration, and sport management; degree completion programs in environmental management, health services, marketing, organizational management, and project management; and two graduate programs, the MBA and the MA in Organizational Leadership. The school emphasizes coursework focused on ethical and biblical principles with the goal of enriching the student experience and providing sought-after graduates in the region and beyond. The overall enrollment in all programs exceeds 600 students.
