I retired with 35 years of teaching and/or school counseling in the public schools. I had the tremendous opportunity to teach four different grades and then be a school counselor at each level - elementary, middle and high school. Those experiences have proven invaluable to my teaching at Malone University. Upon completing my doctorate, I had always planned to teach at the collegiate level, I am very thankful that God had the same plan.
My husband, a retired police officer and mayor of Orrville, and I are the proud parents of four adult children. We also have seven granddaughters and one grandson. My hobbies include many family-oriented activities, reading, writing, cooking, exercising, traveling and visiting nursing homes with my therapy dog, Gilbert.
