Dr. Miller completed a B.A. in Historical Theology (Patristics) from ORU and a M.A. in Medieval History from the University of Tulsa. His Ph.D. is in History of Christianity (Late Medieval-Early Modern) from Boston University where he worked with Carter Lindberg. At BU he was a Teaching, Graduate, and Research Assistant and received an IREX grant for dissertation research in East Germany 1990-1991. He taught nine years at Valley Forge Christian College in Phoenixville, PA (1991-2000).
Dr. Miller is a specialist on the development of Christian views of Islam in the Early Modern period. He has made numerous presentations at national and international conferences and has published several articles and reviews on the topic.
