
Ken Stoltzfus is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Social Work Department. He received a Bachelor’s of Science in Education degree from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania in 1994 and a Master’s of Social Work degree from
Temple
University
in 2000. Ken is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Case Western Reserve University. Prior to his faculty appointment at
Malone University
in 2003, Ken’s employment experience consisted of direct service and management positions in the fields of mental health and addictions treatment. His career highlights include developing and managing an independent living program for delinquent youth, serving as Clinical/Operations Director for a Christian-oriented addiction treatment clinic, and managing a community-based mental health services program. Ken is a member of the North American Association of Christians in Social Work (NACSW), the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), and the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). He is currently credentialed in the state of Ohio as a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a Supervision Designation (LISW-S) and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC). Ken and his wife, Amy, met while working in urban youth ministry. They have two children, Katie (eight years old) and Dylan (six years old). The family attends First Mennonite Church in Canton. They enjoy camping, hiking, and reading together. Ken's personal hobbies include reading, running, bicycling, and backpacking.
