Research Interests

Current research includes longitudinal studies of learning and memory among individuals with Alzheimer-type dementia.  Much of this work has been conducted in collaboration with Melinda Baker (a Malone graduate, who is currently a doctoral student at the University of Akron) and with Diane Sotnak (doctoral student at the University of Akron).

Important interests include empirical aesthetics.  Dr. Seifert's program of research includes work with elder populations and has manifested itself in research productivity in nearly thirty research publications and invited papers, numerous conference presentations, many opportunities to review manuscripts for top journals, and some acquired research funding.
