(6185) Malone University Social Work Club, Counseling Center, and Wellness Committee Partner with Domestic Violence Project for Take Back the Night

In partnership with the Domestic Violence Project and the Social Work Club, Malone University’s Counseling Center and Wellness Committee will present Take Back the Night on Tuesday, October 25, 2011.  The program is scheduled to begin at 7 pm in the Johnson Center for Worship and the Fine Arts, located on the Malone University campus at 2600 Cleveland Avenue N.W. in Canton.

About Take Back the Night – provided by the Domestic Violence Project:

Take Back the Night empowers our community to stand up and prevent violence against women and children.  Domestic violence has been high profile both nationally and right here in Stark County.  More than 30% of the homicides in Stark County are domestic violence related.  We believe events like Take Back the Night provide an opportunity for our community to understand the signs of domestic violence and learn what to do to prevent it.  The program will include speakers, reflective reading, music, and a candlelight remembrance ceremony.
